Food & Retreat (Western NC)

Following the success of our first retreat, we are excited to invite you to the second Food & retreat, happening September 24 - 25, 2025, at The Catholic Center in Hickory, N.C. The retreat is designed for food and faith leaders who are eager to explore the connections between narrative, food security, and faith communities. Over the course of two days, participants will explore: The harmful narratives about hunger.  The deep-rooted causes of food insecurity.  The history of welfare and charity systems.  How our understanding of hospitality and rights influences our approach to hunger.
