Jason Cameron

Jason Cameron grew up on a farm and always knew he would have his own one day. “I want my family and my community to eat healthier. Farming brings and keeps families together,” he says. “My favorite aspect is taking care of the land I’m blessed to have and watching it produce life for others to enjoy.”

Cameron and his wife Terris now operate Brownstone Family Farms in Scranton, South Carolina, growing produce for their local farmers market. They are using the funds from the Beginning Farmer Stipend to complete a small farm operations building where they can store supplies and equipment and wash and prep their produce for market. This critical infrastructure will help them continue to grow as beginning farmers and support their dream of creating a working farm where faith, farming, craftsmanship, and community come together.
