Cody Snow is the owner of Swallow’s Rest, a 1.5-acre market garden and farmstand in Galax, Virginia. Snow and his wife, supervised by their two-year-old, share a passion for agriculture and bringing people together through good food. The farm produces vegetables, fruit, cut flowers, and honeybees.
Snow is harnessing RAFI’s Beginning Farmer Stipend to install a drip irrigation system, purchase planting and harvesting tools, and expand the farmstand stall and parking lot. The funds will allow Swallow’s Rest to create more efficient systems, save water, and better serve customers.
