Chris Wallace

Chris Wallace is a farmer, youth director, and inspirational speaker based in Sedalia, North Carolina. He grows a full rainbow of organic produce including tomatoes, peppers, squash, zucchini, okra, green beans, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, kale, collards, carrots, watermelon, herbs, blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries.

Wallace began farming to provide fresh, organic food in order to help address health challenges in his community. He sells his produce through farmers markets, direct sales to individuals, and to a local restaurant owner. “I love the therapeutic nature of farming. I love learning and enjoying the beauty and peace of nature,” he says.

This Beginning Farmer Stipend will fund a high tunnel, irrigation system, and compost for Wallace’s 0.5 acre operation.
