Draft Program – subject to change 9:30am Registration Opens Coffee, refreshments, meet and greet 10:00 Welcome, Opening Prayer, Introductions Kristen Richardson-Frick, The Duke Endowment Francesca Hyatt, The Come to the Table Project at RAFI-USA Participants will briefly introduce projects to the group 10:30 – 11:30 Sustainable Funding Panel Panel discussion on the role of funding in community-based work, the types of funding available to churches for hunger relief, and financial planning strategies for project sustainability. 11:45 – 1:15 Tour of Anathoth Community Garden & Lunch Directly following the morning session, we will caravan to the garden- a five-minute drive from the church. We’ll take a tour of the garden and weather permitting, eat lunch on site. Rainy day plan: we’ll eat lunch at the church. 1:30 – 2:15 Break Out Session An opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities of your ministry. Small groups will be formed according to type of project. 2:30 Large Group Discussion: Building Support for Your Project Your opportunity to share stories, strategies and wisdom! How have you have built support within your congregation for your project? How have you engaged the community at large in your ministry? 3:15 Closing Reflections and Prayer 3:30 Adjourn
