Shunnea Turner

The Good Farmers, Greensboro GA

The Good Farm is building a multi-use structure that will be a greenhouse, processing space, and storage facility. The space will be fully solar-powered and able to switch from an open-air processing station in the spring and summer, to a heated greenhouse in the fall and winter.

Bio: Shunnea Turner received formal education in clinical psychology and worked for Superior Court mental health and drug recidivism program, she also worked in the public schools as a therapist, case manager and counselor. Shunnea Turner started urban farming in 2018, turning her 1 ½ acre home lot in Stone Mountain, GA into a small community garden. During 2020 Covid-19 pandemic Shunnea noticed tremendous supply chain disruptions and food shortages, she and her husband were temporarily laid off during statewide shut downs she decided to be part of the solution offering food security to her family and community.


In 2020 they purchased 10 acres of raw land and began building The Good Farmers, a market family farm. The Good Farmer grows Certified Naturally Grown vegetables, fruit, honey, and medicinal healing herbs in Greensboro, GA. The farm uses permaculture principles as we strive to help heal our customers, our community, and land.
