Public comments and suggestions to the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) are due April 8, 2014.
The National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) is a federal advisory committee to the USDA. RAFI has a longstanding history in the creation of the NOSB: RAFI Just Foods Director Michael Sligh serves as a founding chair. Michael will present his own comments in person at the meeting on April 29 in Texas. The basis of RAFI’s Just Foods program is the belief that organic is the best agricultural approach for meaningful, long-term solutions to the escalating environmental challenges facing our planet.
As a farmer, researcher, consumer or any member of the public, you are welcomed and encouraged to submit a written comment or recommendation. In order to be considered during the spring 2014 meeting, written public comments or requests for in-person oral comments must be received by 11:59 pm April 8, 2014.
