Is your congregation interested in building relationships with farmers in your community and purchasing fresh, healthy food? Join RAFI-USA and Come to the Table to learn about our newest initiative, the Farm and Faith Partnerships Project!
Â
The Farm and Faith Partnerships Project connects NC churches with farmers from RAFI’s Farmers of Color Network to create sustainable food-based partnerships. These partnerships look different depending on the context, but could look like a group of churches coming together to form a food box purchasing group to purchase from a local farmer or like a church hosting a farmers market in their parking lot (perhaps in coordination with another church event like a community meal). Through these farm-to-faith connections, churches are able to participate in the building of thriving local food systems and economies while also engaging in relational ministries with farmers in their communities.Â
