Colina del Frio is located west of the central mountain range of Puerto Rico, in a town known for growing coffee, bananas, bananas and citrus fruits. Kelvin strives to create a sustainable economic model in the project in which the African (Afro-Boricua) cultural heritage is represented with respect, and from which people with less access to resources can survive. Kelvin hopes to use his funding to improve the kitchen and bathroom infrastructure to turn his farm into a model farm and school, where practices can be replicated among my closest neighbors and farmers. He is interested in continuing to plant crops that are recognizable in his surroundings, those that are already adapted to the climate of his town.
