Farm Name: Finca Agroecologica Bohiti
City: Las Marías, Puerto Rico
Jordan started their journey as a farmer in 2012 at their mother’s house, before studying culinary arts and then Horticulture and Sustainable Agriculture. Now they combine both things and together with their family integrating plants, animals, and education. Bohiti Agroecological Farm is named after a Taíno word, Bohití (shaman of the tribe, connoisseur of the world of plants and the spiritual world). With their funds, Jordan plans to fence around land to take their animals out to graze freely.
