Errol operates a three acre fruit orchard and apiary on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands where he produces a variety of native, tropical, and sub-tropical fruits. Errol has been involved in the agriculture industry for more than 30 years as a grower and employee with the Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture. Errol is an associate of and holds membership in several agricultural organizations and boards including the Caribbean Food Crop Society, Mango Melee and Tropical Fruit Festival, Agriculture and Food Fair of the Virgin Islands, and the University of the Virgin Islands School of Agriculture Advisory Board. His goal is to address the increasing demand for locally produced fruits, honey, and other bee by-products. With his funds, Errol plans to enhance his irrigation system to meet his fruit trees water requirement and expand the apiary to increase production. This will be accomplished by replacing the existing smaller drip irrigation line and replacing them with a larger line to increase water flow. The emitters will also be replaced to increase water output per tree.
