Congressional Briefing: Specialty Crop Risk Management

Improvements to the Whole Farm Revenue Protection (WFRP) Program and Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) could create a cascade of benefits to the ag sector, particularly for specialty crop growers and beginning farmers not currently covered by crop insurance. RAFI-USA Senior Policy Specialist Scott Marlow will be participating in a Congressional Briefing on Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 along with Cara Graver of The National Young Farmers Coalition, Jonathan Coppess of Coppess Consulting and Kylee Zdunic-Rasch of Newaygo Insurance Agency Inc.

They will discuss their research findings (linked below) related to how these critical risk management tools work and recommendations for improvements.
