Red Rooster Farm, Booneville, AR

Project Snapshot:
Red Rooster Farm is installing two large refrigerators in their processing area to properly store produce for markets. Because of an increase in demand for produce during the pandemic, they recently completed a 30×72 foot greenhouse, which will enable them to grow produce year-round.

Bio: Red Rooter Farm has been a certified organic farm since 2018. They are second generation farmers in Booneville, Arkansas and of Cherokee heritage. Allexcia left home for the city and later returned to the country with her family. They started out with a small family farm in 2012 with sheep, chickens, and produce. The farm has grown substantially since then, and they hope it continues to grow. Red Rooster Farm currently offers produce year around thru greenhouse production, and market their lambs for meat. They will begin offering educational field trips and classes on the farm, COVID permitting, in the fall of 2021, to spread knowledge of how “real food” grows in “real” dirt.
