Darlene Gabbard

Native Vines Winery, Lexington, NC

Project Snapshot:
Native Vines Winery is closing in a 12×24 square foot section of their current building for cold storage of finished bottled wine. This additional space will allow the farm to double production by creating a dedicated space for cold storage, which is currently in the same space as wine tanks and bottling. They are pouring concrete, building walls, and adding air conditioning to safely store their finished product; this increased storage will allow them to expand sales into Virginia and South Carolina.

Bio: Native Vines Winery is owned and operated by Darlene Gabbard, a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, along with her family.
